Registered training organisations (RTOs) offering qualifications in aged and community care will shortly receive an invitation from the Australian Skills Quality Authority (ASQA) to register for one of three free webcasts being hosted later this month by ASQA and the Community Services and Health Industry Skills Council (CS&HISC).
The interactive webcasts—being held on 26 November at 10am and 27 November at 10.30am and 2pm (AEDT)—will provide an update on what has been achieved since the release of ASQA’s national Strategic review into training for aged and community care, including the implementation of the Standards for Registered Training Organisations 2015 and revisions to the training package.
The webcasts are designed to help RTOs in ensuring ongoing compliance with the requirements for delivering training and assessment of the qualifications in aged and community care.
ASQA’s Strategic Review Manager, Bronwen Griffiths, and CS&HISC’s Training Package Manager, Dorothy Rao, will host the webinars, which are expected to run for around one hour.
RTOs with aged and community care qualifications on their scope will be sent an invitation containing information on how to register. To allow for effective interactivity during the webinars, numbers will be restricted to no more than 100 participants in each session.
Please note only RTOs with CHC30212 or CHC30312 on their scope will receive an invitation to these webinars. Representatives from other RTOs and stakeholders in the vocational education and training sector will be able to view video of the webinar later on ASQA’s YouTube channel.
More information about the webcasts is available by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org.
